This Is Not a Government Office. Forest County Criminal History is a private reference resource. It cannot retrieve, change, certify, or expunge a record, accept filings, or perform an official check.
Need an Official Record?
Send each request to the custodian that created or filed the record:
- Common Pleas files and copies: Forest County Clerk of Courts, 526 Elm Street, #2, Tionesta, PA 16353; 814-755-3526; weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Sheriff-created records and routing: Forest County Sheriff's Office, 526 Elm Street, Box 9, Tionesta, PA 16353; 814-755-3541; fax 814-755-4404. Call before visiting or faxing because the official page does not publish counter hours.
- State criminal-history responses: Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Records and Identification through PATCH or the mail-only Access and Review process.
- Police incident reports: contact PSP or the other arresting agency shown on the complaint or UJS docket. The county cannot release a PSP report it does not possess.
- Case initiation and preliminary matters: Forest County Magisterial District Court, 108 South Forest Street, Marienville, PA 16239. Verify its current phone in the official UJS directory.
- Expungement filings: ask the Forest County Clerk of Courts for the current fee, required copies, service instructions, and 37th Judicial District practice.
The Forest County Open Records Office handles properly directed county requests under the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law. Judicial records follow UJS access rules, and law-enforcement audio or video follows Pennsylvania Act 22 rather than the ordinary RTKL route.
